This interactive, Zoom-based workshop will cover the step-by-step process of conducting a psychological evaluation interview, and then writing an affidavit for a humanitarian-based immigration case. We will share techniques for working with interpreters and navigating cultural and linguistic barriers during an evaluation, introduce the structure and required elements of the affidavit, and use a mock evaluation and affidavit as jumping off points to explore best practices for preparing for and conducting an evaluation.
